However, filmmaker Karan Johar has immediately stepped in that space with his production, Agneepath which stars actor Hrithik Roshan as its protagonist.
“There was a meeting about the release date today morning, wherein they decided that Aamir won’t release Dhuan on January 26. It was announced earlier that Aamir intends to release the film on a later date as he wants to spend more time on the post-production (apparently Aamir wants to sit on the editing table along with the editor),” says a source, who is a part of the team.
When Karan learned that January 26 slot is going to be empty, he quickly jumped in as he wanted to release the film on the same day.
“Karan has got that slot. We’ve been hearing reports that film Tezz might not be able to meet the deadline as its shooting is still not complete. So, there is a chance that the film might not be ready by January 26. This has prompted Karan to take the decision of releasing his film on that date,” says the source.
About Ajay’s film racing against time to meet the deadline, producer of Tezz, Ratan Jain said, “If we were ready to face Aamir Khan then,we are ready to face competition from Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt too. We are working against time to complete the film within deadline.” He added, “I don’t think Karan knows that we have already announced our release date.
